Chef Kristina has sharpened her knives and is slicing into the culinary World to open a unique locally- focused culinary store front with demonstration kitchen.  Located in Bonita Springs, Florida, Purple Spoon aspires to be a central gathering place for local farmers, talented culinary professionals and the expansive members of our community who appreciate stellar ingredients and exceptional dining events.

+ Cooking Classes

Demonstration and hands-on classes will be offered covering a variety of culinary topics to guide the home cook in preparing delicious and healthy meals in their own kitchen.  To browse the upcoming class themes and menus visit the Calendar page. Cooking classes will be led by Chef Kristina on a weekly basis. In addition, a medley of food, wine & farming professionals will be offering classes to showcase their specialities.

+ Prepared Foods

Perfect for lunch on-the-go or as take-home for a healthy easy dinner option. Ours chefs are offering seasonally stellar prepared foods items that use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible and supplement with organic ingredients where needed.  Our weekly rotating selection of prepared foods will include: Soups, Grain & Vegetable Salads, Dips, Sauces, Desserts, Salsas and more creative whims from our seasonally focused kitchen.

Also available frozen are Poultry & Meat Bone Stocks (“Bone Broth”) made from locally sourced, pastured animals that are humanely raised & harvested using NO antibiotics, hormones, pesticides, GM feeds or other questionable farming practices. Our poultry bones come from Circle C Farm located in Bonita Springs and the meat bones come from Three Suns Ranch located in Punta Gorda.

 

+ Weekly dinners offering a seasonal chef’s menu paired with wine

Salmon Dragon Fruit Salsa 2Each Friday or Saturday evening starting at 6pm a 4 course, pre-set dinner menu will be served to guests in a communal seating environment as the meal is prepared in front of them.  Menus will be the chef’s whimsical creations from what is the most stellar ingredients available that day! Wines will be paired with each course and non-alcoholic beverage options are always available by request.  Many of these dinners will feature some of our local farmers or a visiting wine expert to dine with guests for the event heightening the farm-to-table experience.

 

+ Locally Grown Produce Market

Market with peopleWednesdays 3 – 6pm inside the Purple Spoon store.  This market will be starting in October 2016 and running through the SWFL growing season into April or May 2017.  Our devoted farmers of Inyoni Farm from Naples and 12 Seasons Farm from Fort Myers will lead this weekly market; additional vendors will be joining the market team so stay tuned for details!  Visit the Locally Grown Produce Market page for updates on the market start date and the produce that is available each week,

 

+ Pasture Raised or Grass Fed Meats

Bison in saute panSourced primarily from farms in Florida and Georgia, a variety of meats will be available including beef, pork, chicken, eggs, lamb and goat.  Available for retail at our weekly Wednesday market,  open store hours for lunch Tuesdays – Fridays 11am to 2pm and at culinary events.

 

+ Stellar Ingredients & Cooking Tools

Heirloom Tomatoes 12 SeasonsJust as we use stellar ingredients at each cooking class or dinner event, we want our guests to enjoy those same amazing food items in their own kitchens!  Artisans cheeses, salts from around the World, sustainably harvested grains, oils, vinegars, organic nuts and a growing selection of other must-haves for the kitchen will be available for retail purchase.  To be sure the home cook has the right tools for enjoying the at-home cooking experience our store will offer a selection of vital cooking tools that we use every day in our own demonstration kitchen.
